The movie begins with Rajendra, his wife Kaira, and their two sons Jai and Prem. Rajendra is a strict, authoritarian, and conservative man who expects everyone in his family to follow the same path. He wants his sons to be the doctors just like him but he doesn’t reveal his wish to them. He is an adopted child whose real parents are unknown to him. He is a successful orthopedic surgeon and is engaged to be married to Dr. Anjali, a beautiful and ambitious lady. Then we move to the second story of Dharam who is a photographer and is engaged to his sweetheart Anjali. Unlike Rajendra, he is very softhearted and loving. He is the adopted child of the Pandey family. His adopted mother is a caring and loving person but his adopted father is a strict person. Dharam and Rajendra meet each other for the first time and they don’t know each other. Their relationship is very formal but it is about to change. After the engagement of Dharam and Anjali, the Pandey family goes to the photographer for the family photographs. Here, Dharam meets Rajendra for the first time when Rajendra comes to collect his photographs. Dharam doesn’t know that Rajendra is his brother.

The third story is of Jai, who is a street racer and is engaged to Pooja. He is the adopted child of Dr. Hansraj and his wife. He is a very carefree, crazy, and immature boy who doesn’t care about his future. He doesn’t want to be a doctor like his adopted father. He works as a mechanic in a garage. On the day of his engagement, he meets Rajendra and he also doesn’t know that Rajendra is his brother. There is a parallel story of Dr. Hansraj, the adopted father of Jai. He loves his wife and his adopted children very much but his wife is unhappy about the relationship with their adopted children with them. She is eager to go to her parents but Dr. Hansraj doesn’t allow her. She is a vocal person and she always tells the negative aspects of their adopted children. She doesn’t know that her words hurt her husband and her adopted children.

Dharam and Shakuntala's love story

Rajendra and Dharam go to Rajendra’s house to collect the photographs of their families. Dharam comes to know that Rajendra’s house is the same house where his arranged bride, Shakuntala, and her parents are waiting for them. Shakuntala is excited to meet Rajendra as she is in love with him since childhood. She is doubtful about the fact that whether Rajendra will love her or not. Rajendra is also shy to meet Shakuntala as he doesn’t love her and he is just going to marry her because of his parents. After the meeting, Rajendra and his family leave their house. Shakuntala and her parents are sad as they are heartbroken after the departure of Rajendra. Shakuntala cries and says that she is also in love with Rajendra but he doesn’t love her. She says that she wants to die.

The sacrifice of a mother – Kaira

Kaira is a very kind and good-hearted person. She has a good relationship with all the people in her life including her family, her friends, and her colleagues. Her husband Rajendra is a selfish person who doesn’t understand the feelings of others. He is very strict with his sons. He doesn’t love Kaira and his sons just like that but he shows his love by disciplining them. One day, Kaira saves the life of a child on a busy street. The child is the son of Dr. Anjali who is engaged to Rajendra. Dr. Anjali is a very arrogant and egoistic person. She is not ready to accept the fact that her child is saved by Kaira. She asks Kaira to leave the child as she is not the kid’s mother. Dr. Anjali doesn’t understand that Kaira is not the child’s mother but she is the child’s mother by her nature.

Jai and Pooja's love story

One day Rajendra comes to Dharam’s house for a party. Jai and Rajendra meet for the first time but they don’t know each other. Rajendra asks Jai what is his profession and Jai says that he works as a mechanic in a garage. Jai goes to Rajendra’s house when he is invited by Rajendra. He meets Rajendra’s parents and he also doesn’t know that Rajendra is the same person he met at Dharam’s house. Jai meets Dr. Hansraj for the first time and he also doesn’t know that Dr. Hansraj is his adopted father. Jai asks Dr. Hansraj to give him a drink and Dr. Hansraj gets angry. Jai leaves the party when he gets to know that Rajendra is the same person he met earlier at Dharam’s house. Rajendra comes to Dharam’s house to invite him to his engagement party. Dharam comes to know that Rajendra is the same person he met earlier at his house. Now Dharam feels that Rajendra will not like to meet Jai because they met each other earlier at his house without knowing each other’s identity and now again they are going to meet each other at Rajendra’s house.

Conclusion

The movie ends when Rajendra and Dharam meet each other. Rajendra comes to know that Dharam is his long-lost brother. They hug each other and they become friends. Rajendra and Dharam invite Jai to their engagement party. Jai also meets Rajendra and he also doesn’t know that Rajendra is his brother. After knowing that Rajendra and Dharam are brothers, Jai also comes to know that Dharam is also his brother. Jai, Dharam, and Rajendra become friends and their families also become one when Rajendra marries Shakuntala. Rajendra marries Dr. Anjali as his parents have already decided to marry him with her. Dr. Hansraj marries Kaira because he loves her. Dr. Hansraj also comes to know that Dr. Anjali is not a nice woman as she behaves rudely with Kaira.
